| You are neither a subdued loner nor a jovial chatterbox. You enjoy time with others but also time alone. Stressful and frustrating situations can often be upsetting to you, but you are sometimes able to get over these feelings and cope with these situations. Novelty, variety, and change spice up your life and make you a curious, imaginative, and creative person. You have a strong interest in others' needs and well-being. You are pleasant, sympathetic, and cooperative. You are reasonably reliable, organized, and self-controlled.

Well, I took dear Betty to the vet's today and it seems she has developed Allergies. I have a dog with ALLERGIES...go figure. Anyway, she has been put on a special diet that will give her system a rest and in 6 weeks we begin re-introducing the foods that could possily cause the reaction. A very unattractive ulceration/abcess secondary infection all over her back and paws. Poor darling. In australia the main causes for allergies are beef, chicken, oats, wheat and rice, as these are the ingredients in most pet foods. However in the U.S apparently it is corn, so therefore U.S dogs have allegies to corn. I wonder if a diet rich in one source of food would cause the same reactions in humans? Betty is also being treated with antibiotics and betadine baths. Not too mention the ear drops for her reinfected ears. It's amazing how much care a rescue pet may need, but we wouldn't trade her for anything. She has bestowed so much joy on our lives. BTW...she is currently snoring contentedly at my feet in front of the fire. I think it is with utmost relief from the irritation of her infection. I've included a photo, if it works. She is extremely camera shy, although we had a story done on her and my well travelled cat(who just tried to drink out of my glass of water) \for a local paper and she posed for that...hmph!

Sorry, just have to brag. I have just bought myself a brand new, enough to make you weak at the knees NOTEBOOK with media centre. *scream!!* swoon, drool and pass out! I've decided to be a little more restrained in my live journal entries, I think when you hit 25 years the teenage angst and melodrama really has to go. Well that's it for now, I'm off to delete some old crap. Suck eggs Sophia!

This is one of my favourite quotes. I think it says it all.
What a woman needs is not as a man, to act or rule, but as a nature to grow, as an intellect to discern, and as a soul to live freely and unimpeded, to unfold such powers as are given to her. Margaret Fuller.
I also feel this could be said of men as well. I think this is where society comes undone. It is always trying to pigeon-hole people in order to control them. I do not believe that there is anything wrong with a person who acts or rules. Our society needs leaders, just as any animal herd needs a protector. It gives us security and a sense of belonging.

The deep divide that separates the world's that live between. The echo of your voice Reaches my inner being
With just one thought My soul is with your soul Across mountains and oceans I hear your heart's call
An invisible thread binds us In a way we'll never understand From time long forgotten Until death takes us by the hand.

Man am I bored. And yet here I am sitting on the computer, freezing cold at 9:39 exact, not finding anything of interest here either. Though I think it has more to do with the lack of company. 9:40- Went to Perth yesterday to see the opening night of the WA Ballet's Midsummer Nights Dream. It was amazing, the costumes for the faeries were the best I've seen in ages. Sadly though the orchestra didn't accompany the performance as planned because the musical director was involved in a serious car accident on his way to the theatre. He is now in a critical condition, all because of some idiot who was doing 200kms an hour on the freeway. Dobbs car was clipped and flipped off the freeway and down an embankment and then burst into flames. His wife is also in a serious, but stable condition. It reminds me of how life is so fragile and that no one is immortal. 9:44-down side was spending 24hrs with a very eccentric 'Hungarian Jew' female over 50! I swear she did not stop talking the entire time(besides the performance, thank god). Though she does have a heart of gold, she is a bit like any medication. Best taken in small doses! 9:47- I think I just need something or someone to shake things up a bit. Life is just too damn predictable at the moment. I haven't even been on a date in 5yrs. REALLY!!! 9:50- Crap, now there's a heap of emotion on the rise. I'm just going to go to bed now before things turn ugly. Anyway I have to work at 8 tomorrow morning. Yuk!

Words tumble, pushing, trying to escape the prison of the mind. A swirling morass of unspoken dreams, Too scared of light, in fear of being found empty, found wanting. Those that spill forth upon the tongue, scorned, criticized, undermined, by minds inferior to its own. Anger, hurt and frustration are familiar, Submission, acceptance... Then rises the rebel that lurks in the deep, dark, cob-web caves of the mind. Put-down, stepped-on, crushed in the mud of mediocrity. Ideas and thoughts seeking the light of validation, Until weakened to a state of despair, disappears into the silence, the darkness, the nothing. Awaiting, cautiously, for the day of the enlightenment. Lorraine MacKellar

In this silence I hear the world.
A scream that awakens a volcano A groan so low it shakes the earth A moan so forlorn it echos on the winds Sobs that wash away shorelines Tears that fill rivers to overflowing
And Silence
A silence so profound, so deep, so limitless it destroys from the inside
These are the sounds of the broken-hearted The forgotten and abused The Earth can only absorb so much The cracks are beginning to show.

When you were a little girl, or even a grown woman for that matter, did you ever dream of a Knight in Shining Armour that would gallop into your dull, dismal life and carry you away to his castle to live happily ever after? Well I’d like to share with you a few home truths about this hero of our fantasies and they’re not as happily ever after as you’d hope. For instance there are a few questions that must be raised about the state of his armour and the behaviour of his horse.
1. His great white steed; prancing and tossing it’s head is not a sign of eagerness, but a true indication of the horses nature. High-strung, undisciplined, nervous and under exercised. This horse is simply a showpiece that is taken out of its stable once a month when the urge to find a cleaner for his castle overwhelms the Knight. He is able to show off his expert horsemanship skills by controlling this horse, when in reality the poor beast has been pumped full of oats and placed in a severe bit, another reason for the prancing and head toss. The reason for examining the horse is so that you have a better understanding and expectation of how he is going to treat you. He’ll take you out once a month for a work function to show off how amazing in bed he must be in order to have caught and tamed you. Heaven forbid if the dress he bought you two seasons ago has grown a little snug around the hips. He may just put a severe bit on you too.
2. His Immaculate Shining Armour; this one is blinking obvious, but for those that have immersed themselves so far into the fantasy that they can’t see reality for the clouds, listen carefully. Ask yourself this. What is a KNIGHT doing in SHINING armour? Here are a few possibilities: 1.His mother, girlfriend, wife or nanny (good god) spends half the night scrubbing and polishing the ale stains, sweat, and grass stains from his countless falls, from the grooves of the entire suit with a toothbrush. This is quite a concern, because if it’s his mother, expect to hear the terms, Mum does it like this… I like how mum… You should ask mum… Mum uses… Again and again and AGAIN. And if it’s his wife or girlfriend, do you really want to even go there. If he’s willing to fool around with you, then don’t you think he’ll be equally happy to do it TOO you? This type of Knight is probably so stuck in the past that he still only bathes once a month (when mummy runs out of spit to wipe the smudges off his face). If you have a sensitive nose, just don’t go there. OR..(my personal favourite) 2.He’s never even seen the dust that settles after a battle, let alone participated in one. He’s the sought that joins the army and then spends the rest of the time in the medical wing because of a headache. He will often also appear as a SNAG, but be warned, he’ll be expecting you to slay the dragon. If his excuse is that it might spoil his expensive Calvin Klein designer armour, you’d better start searching for the rainbow saddle blanket. If he is, however, more of the macho type expect to be at his beck and call as he will often remind you of the wonderful ride he took you on, (if he does say so himself).
No, a Knight must have scuffs and scratches, dirt and grass stains on his armour to qualify himself as a true Knight. This is the evidence of the battles he has fought, the lessons he has learnt and the person he is. His horse is a steady one, loyal and dedicated to it’s master. Willing to go forth into battle, trusting that his rider will guide him from harm. And anyway a Knight who’s willing to get a little dirty is so much more fun. Don’t you agree?

Well, jeez, been a while. I suppose I've either been too busy or have the most uneventful life that there is nothing to talk about. hmmm...met a hot guy, but I think he's left to go back to Brisbane already :( Heading out to the cinema tonight, we're screening a doco that won the best film award in Byron Bay. It hasn't been screened anywhere else. Man, we have some serious filmmakers in our little town! Arrr...sorry to restless for this. I just want to go home. Will write an essay another time. ;9

I am in the worst mood at the moment. It's amazing how someone who is quite computer literate can be caught out. A goddamn porno server managed to attach itself to my computer!!!! Well I sorted that out mighty quick. Uninstalled my internet access and everything and started from scratch! Hahah you f@#%&ers! I am so sick of these perverse, degrading, lowest scum of the earth people who set up and SUPPORT these sites. Come om people! Everyone knows that the women (and men) who allow themselves to be degraded in this way are usually one of a few things. If not all! 1.drugged f@#%ed. 2.man/women haters 3.gay (usually due to point 2) 4.narcissistic 5.LAZY! on the rare ocassion they have been taken advantage off, or abused in their youth, but now they are adults and there is such thing as choice. If they are feeling trapped by an abuser...poison the b@$*!%d. The world is better off without them and they can't do it to anyone else. And to all those people who actually VISIT these sites. You are a disgrace to the human race. You degrade yourself by visiting these sites. How about going out (not to night clubs, they're just another form of meat market) and meeting REAL people and developing your social skills. If you have a problem...go TALK to someone.
If anyone thinks I'm being judgmental etc. Well stuff you. I know what sort of people do these sites as they are no better then the prostitutes etc tahat get picked up and go through the courts. Each and everyone that has gone through fell under at least one of the above points. Not to mention that the most atttractive ones were usually the most STD ridden! How about we turn against the crappiest aspects of the patriarcal society and refuse to pay tribute to these vomit indusing low lives. It's time to get the mind above the belt as there is a new era aproaching and if your not on the side of light...well it's been nice knowing you..NOT!

Well, well well. Little sis brought it to my attention that I hadn't updated in a while. Yes, I have been very busy. Busy hobknobbing withPerth society (haha...just one step up from oakie fanokies!) Nah, just kidding. Went to the opening of the Western Australian Ballet's Ballet at the Quarry. It was awesome. First ballet experience, took my cousin for her 17th birthday. We even had invites to the after party!!!! PRRRRETTTYY ballet boys! May even end up in the papers in the social column! That'd be sooo cool. Would definately put them on my space. Well that's it for me... ..except... Saffy, you know your mum would find a way to pull the rug, you're just going to have to learn to work her, not against her. I know you probably don't want to hear this, but take a page outa lil sis book. You catch more flies with honey! Pretty annoyed that she did what she did, especially coz she didn't consider my input. Any chance of getting the $50 bucks back from them? I reckon if you go in and plead your case they might. Steph reckons she woulda gone ape, but that would only make things worse. I wish something could be done, but you didn't let me know when the tickets needed to be bought. Granny and Poppa would've helped, You've got to remember that babe. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Speak to you soon
Will try to update more often. catchya

Well, enough of the intellect! Let's see what I can do when i'm pissed! Man, you should see how many times I've had to hit BACKSPACE in this short sentence! Not to mention the Subject Line! Had a couple of glasses of Brown Brothers Crouchen Riesling. A great drop if you like a sweeter white and have the extra $$$$ to spare! (not as pov as the goon!) Hope you don't mind, but I don't feel like being the mature, straight-minded intellect tonight. Man, could go another glass, but am glad we've run out...would probably be sick otherwise. Sometimes I really enjoy the slightly disassociated feeling of the alcohol affected. Don't like the nausea though...I think that's why I have always drawn that line. The word's just seem to tumble tonight...am such a piscean sometimes!!! I guess that's why I've been so paranoid about drunkeness. Man, I can hear Tom Williams in the background...man what a body!!! Talking about Geisha!! The ultimate service providers...I feel so sorry for the male gender sometimes. All about the instincts. To be under the control of the need to procreate...Thanfully there are the new men who are coming through with the higher goal of spiritual enlightenment...not an easy path to under-take. Society just hasn't allowed for this! Hang in there guys. There are people out there who will be there to support you! I do. Anyway enough rambling from me...could go on forever..nice to have somewhere to 'download' it all ;P Cathya soon. Lol

I'd thought I'd start with a favourite poem of mine.
THE PLANETS
We've fought a long and bitter war my twin soul and I.
lost and lonely, fallen angels, exiled from a misty,half-forgotten galaxy of stars, wounded cruelly by the painful thrust of Mars caught in Neptune's tangled web shocked and torn asunder by the sudden, awful violence of Uranus
tortured by the clever lies of Mercury crushed beneath the icy weight of stern unyielding Saturn, who lengthened every hour into a day... each day into a year... each year into eternities of waiting scorched and nearly blinded by the Sun's exploding bursts of arrogance and pride ...as Eve and Adam, stilled and helpless, deep within us cried...
still we fought on in unrelenting fury, striking blow for blow... driven by the pounding of drums of Jupiter's giant throbbing passions, stumbling at the precipice of the Moon's enticing madness to fall, at last, in trembling fear before the threat of Pluto's ominous, tomb-like silence consumed by inconsolable sadness, and the bleakness of despair
we bear...
the wounds and scars of furious battle I and my Twin Soul
but now we walk in quiet peace
with our scattered pieces whole, together hand-in-hand...
full serpent circle
back into the Pyramid-shaped rainbow of tomorrow's brighter Eden
crowned by the gentle Venus with the victory of love
that did not die
but has survived the night of selfish seeking to wait for morning's soft forgiveness
and the dawn of understanding
